Recording of Freedom Tower Webcast now available!
Engineering the Freedom Tower
Perhaps no design project this decade is being more eagerly anticipated - and more closely watched - than New York City's Freedom Tower project. Hear from the structural engineering firm, WSP Cantor Seinuk, and the MEP engineering firm, Jaros Baum & Bolles, on how they are bringing this historic icon to life at the site of the former World Trade Center using Autodesk® Revit® Structure and Autodesk® Revit® Systems.
A recording of the live webcast held on October 5, is now available. Join these firms as they showcase their collaborative efforts in engineering this 1,776-foot tower. During this one-hour webcast, you'll hear about how the Autodesk Revit platform frees them to:
- Work on the model simultaneously with increased building understanding
- Significantly reduce errors between MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines
- Easily accommodate design alternatives and make changes anytime, anywhere – and then propagate those changes everywhere
The Freedom Tower is slated for completion in 2011. Through the recording you’ll see and hear how the future of structural design and MEP engineering is being realised today with Autodesk Revit Structure and Autodesk Revit Systems.

Customer Success
Leading Australian design practice Architectus adopts Revit to achieve excellence in Building Information Modelling
“Originally we saw Revit as a design and presentation tool, but in my view the strength of the product is in its ability to manage and coordinate all the elements needed for successful construction documentation. We are now using Revit to produce our door, window and finishes schedules. The documents remain fully coordinated, and any missing information is immediately obvious,” says Rodd Perey, CAD Manager in the Sydney office.
“We get a lot of repeat business because of our quality of service” says Rick McEwen, Managing Director of the Sydney office. “Revit allows us to offer the service without increasing our costs.”
