Be drawn to this very special event

The morning of this not to be missed event will focus on key strategic issues facing Australian industries at a time of global political, economic and environmental change. The design, engineering, and manufacturing industries in Australia are all impacted by these issues and by the response of business and government.

Keynote speakers from Federal and State Governments, Engineers Australia and Autodesk will address topics including innovation, skills training, design productivity, sustainability and competitiveness in the current economic environment.

See how to gain the competitive edge

The Manufacturing industry stream in the afternoon will showcase the new Autodesk 2010 Digital Prototyping products.

The Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping, including Autodesk® Inventor® software, connects every phase of your manufacturing process—so you get the "right" product to market faster.

You'll see why AutoCAD® has been a world-leading design and documentation software for over 25 years. Learn how powerful new 2D and 3D capabilities in AutoCAD 2010—and tighter integration with other Autodesk manufacturing software—provide a more productive, cost-effective solution to your business challenges.

Hear how Triple Eight Race Engineering has gone to great heights through the use of Autodesk design solutions to enhance their design creativity by allowing them to model conceptually and trial different scenarios early in the development process.

View detailed demonstrations on Autodesk Inventor 2010; AutoCAD Mechanical; AutoCAD Electrical; Autodesk Showcase 2010 and Autodesk Navisworks and learn how to create, optimise and validate designs involving plastic parts, metal sheets and large assemblies with enhanced usability to increase productivity.

Other major developments include:

  • Layout Design – which is aimed at encouraging more engineering design within Inventor
  • Secondly we greatly increase the value of simulation by introducing an integrated FEA environment for parts and assemblies
  • Thirdly the introduction of tools for parameter studies and optimisation or goal seeking.
  • And finally we are improving the dynamic simulation environment to make it even easier to use.

Learn how Autodesk® 2010 products for Digital Prototyping let you design, visualise, and simulate your complete product digitally.
