About Wilmaplex:

With over 30 years of manufacturing under our belt, Wilmaplex is an Australian-owned and operated manufacturer of quality building and hardware products producing and distributing out of Victoria, Australia wide. Established in 1988, we are driven to produce quality building and hardware products for our customers.


The challenge:

We were regularly following up with our customer, Mitre 10, to find out if our hard copy invoices had been processed and this was a time consuming process. There were also errors resulting from the use of postal services to send these invoices, causing frequent delays and inefficiencies. 

We needed a better Accounts Receivable (AR) process to enable us to become more efficient whilst aligning with Mitre 10's procurement system.


The solution:

We decided to implement document capture across our AR processes. All our invoices are scanned and converted into an electronic format sent to our customers via email. No more manual printing and physical mailing of invoices. 


The result & benefits

The implementation process was easy, and we now have a system that is simple to use and cost efficient.

We have tripled our business since becoming compliant with Mitre 10's procurement procedures. Accounting efficiency has improved as a result of the streamlined approach, and we are now assured that our invoices are being processed expeditiously. 

Payment timelines have also improved, and we have reduced our monthly costs for manual invoice processing.
